What is the difference between TE5 Vet and Vetus E3/E5?
TE5 Vet is a tablet ultrasound — fully touch UI without physical keys, compact and for mobile work. Vetus E3/E5 are laptop ultrasounds with traditional UI (keyboard + trackball + touch). For mobility TE5 is better; for long working sessions the Vetus series is more ergonomic.
How many probes can be attached at once?
TE5 Vet in "Three Sockets" config — 3 probes simultaneously (no swapping). In standard — 1 probe, swap when needed. For cardio + abdomen + linear — Three Sockets is more convenient.
Is it suitable for cardiology on large animals (horses)?
Yes — with appropriate phased array probe for horses (3.5 MHz, elongated). Color Doppler + PW give accurate cardiac function assessment. For deep structures — phased array is recommended.
Does it work wirelessly with PACS?
Yes — Wi-Fi + Wireless DICOM. Sends recordings directly to clinic PACS archive or cloud. No USB cable or manual transfer needed.
What battery life for field work?
Depends on use — standard 1-2 hours active work. For all-day field work — recommend spare battery or AC adapter in vehicles with inverter.
