Mindray VetiGen P50 — Mobile Veterinary X-Ray System
Frequently asked questions about Mindray VetiGen P50
What is the difference between VetiGen P50 and VetiX S300?
VetiGen P50 is mobile (portable) X-ray — for field work and emergency cases. VetiX S300 is stationary — for permanent radiology suite use with higher power. The two combine in larger clinics.
Does it work with digital DR detectors?
Yes — full compatibility with Mindray VetiPad M1 (8" × 10" or 14" × 17"), flat panel detector for direct digitization. Results display immediately on screen or PACS. Also supports classical CR cassettes.
How many hours on battery?
Depends on exposure volume. Standard ~50-100 exposures on full charge. For all-day field work — recommend spare battery. Charge time ~3-5 hours.
How is it positioned for large animals (horses, cattle)?
P50 is mobile with flexible mount — ergonomic holder, movable by the vet. For horses (joints, hooves, spine) — placed close to anatomical region. For dental radiography on horses — separate model/holder.
Is there protection from excessive dose?
Yes — dose tracking, anti-overexposure alarm, pre-set templates with recommended parameters for anatomy + weight. This reduces error risk and protects patient and operator.
