Mindray BeneHeart R3 Vet — Veterinary 3-Channel Electrocardiograph
Frequently asked questions about Mindray BeneHeart R3 Vet
What is the difference between BeneHeart R3 Vet and R12?
R3 is 3-channel with 12-lead recording — optimal for routine ECG. R12 is 12-channel simultaneous — for more complex cardiac cases and research. R3 is more affordable and sufficient for most veterinary clinics.
Is there automatic ECG interpretation?
Yes — built-in Glasgow Mindray veterinary algorithm identifies arrhythmias, ST changes, conduction blocks and automatically measures PR, QRS, QT/QTc intervals and axis. IMPORTANT: interpretation is assistive — final decision rests with the veterinary doctor.
Which electrodes are used on animals?
Standard ECG electrodes (clamp/alligator clip for limbs, adhesive for chest) with conductive gel or physiological saline. For long-haired animals — small areas trimmed for good contact. Mindray offers specialized veterinary cables.
How many records does it store?
With 8 GB SD card — over 1000-2000 ECG records in standard format. With USB transfer — unlimited external storage. PDF export for patient files and archive.
Does it work on battery?
Yes — Li-ion battery provides ~4 hours operation without AC. Suitable for field work (farms, emergency cases), with patients far from outlets. Charge time <3 hours.
