Mindray Veta 3 — Veterinary Inhalation Anesthesia Machine (Entry-Level)
Frequently asked questions about Mindray Veta 3
What is the difference between Veta 3 and Veta 5/5Plus?
Veta 3 is the entry-level model with 1 vaporizer — optimal for smaller clinics with lower procedure volume. Veta 5 and Veta 5Plus are middle and premium tiers — with 2 vaporizers (Isoflurane + Sevoflurane), more ventilation modes and additional monitoring features. Choice depends on procedure volume and budget.
Which vaporizer should I choose — Isoflurane or Sevoflurane?
Isoflurane — more affordable, widely used, good for most procedures. Sevoflurane — faster recovery, less airway irritation, preferred for pediatric and dental cases. For most veterinary clinics Isoflurane is standard.
Is it suitable for large dogs?
Veta 3 is optimal for small and medium breeds (up to ~25-30 kg). For large breeds (>40 kg) and frequent/complex procedures we recommend Veta 5 or Veta 5Plus.
What accessories are included?
Standard: vaporizer (1 unit), absorber canister with CO2 sorbent, breathing circuit (rebreathing), bag, masks in several sizes. Optional: O2 cylinder yoke, scavenging system, monitor bracket.
Is there a built-in patient monitor?
Veta 3 does not include a built-in monitor. It has a bracket for external patient monitor (uMEC12 Vet, ePM 12M Vet, Vetal 3 or other). For integrated solution see Veta 5 Premium.
