WINFOCUS Ultrasound Life Support (USLS) Basic Course
This course is aimed at physicians who want to gain knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of the clinical integration of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).
POCUS is a fundamental skill for contemporary physicians in many specialties – anesthesia, critical care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, pulmonology, primary care, and pediatrics.
This is an in-person 2-day course. The official language is English, with a hybrid option in Bulgarian.
The course will alternate didactics with hands-on practice, with an instructor-to-learner ratio of 1:5, and with a heavy focus on practical skills, using live models.
What will be covered during the course:
Abdominal aortic aneurysm, Deep vein thrombosis, Lung and pleura, FAST, cardiac, gallbladder, kidneys, musculoskeletal, and IV insertion under POCUS guidance.
The participants are expected to review assigned video lectures and complete an online pretest prior to the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, the participants will receive a certificate from WINFOCUS.
