Mindray VetiGen P58 — Premium Mobile Veterinary X-Ray (High Power)
Frequently asked questions about Mindray VetiGen P58
What is the difference between P58 and P50?
P58 is premium — higher power (~8 kW vs ~5 kW), better penetration for large animals (horses, cattle), higher max kV (~125 vs 110). For small/medium clinics P50 is sufficient; for specialty or large animals — P58.
Is it suitable for horses?
Yes — premium power and kV up to 125 cover large animals without issues. Mindray offers specialized accessories for equine orthopedics (joints, hooves, spine).
Does it work with digital DR detectors?
Yes — full compatibility with Mindray VetiPad M1 and M1 Plus. Images appear on screen instantly. PACS DICOM support.
How many hours on battery?
Depends on exposure volume. For all-day field work we recommend spare battery. AC adapter for prolonged clinic use.
What accessories are needed for equine work?
Standard equine holders for positioning detector close to anatomical region, radiation protection (lead aprons, gloves) and appropriate DR cassettes/detectors for large fields.
