    Frequently asked questions about Mindray VeLED E3

    What is the difference between VeLED E3 and E5?

    E3 is a basic examination light — wall mount or mobile, with smaller light field diameter. E5 is premium ceiling-mounted examination light with higher intensity and working field. For operating procedures — the S3/S5 series.

    Is VeLED E3 suitable for surgery?

    E3 is an examination light — primarily for visual exams and minor procedures. For surgery we recommend S3 (operating, single/dual) or S5 (flagship). The E (examination) and S (surgical) series combine in one clinic.

    How much does LED replacement cost?

    LEDs have a lifespan > 60,000 hours (~7 years 24/7 or ~25 years at 8h daily). In practice they do not require replacement during the lamp's working lifetime. When needed — modular replacement by authorized service.

    Is there backup power?

    VeLED E3 is primarily for AC operation. For backup during power outages we recommend clinic UPS. For E3 class, built-in battery is not standard.

    What is the difference between W and M version?

    W (Wall) — fixed wall mount, space-saving, always in the same place. M (Mobile) — on wheels, moves between examination rooms. Choice depends on clinic layout.
